What is Southern Tallow 100% Grass-Fed Beef Tallow made of?
100% beef fat from grass-fed cattle, rendered in small batches and filtered 5 times in Melbourne’s west. Nothing added.
How do I use it?
Melt a tablespoon for searing, roasting, frying or baking. It’s great for steak, roast potatoes, eggs and pastry.
What’s the smoke point?
Typically 215 °C+ , so it handles high heat unlike olive and seed oil alternatives which break down and oxidise rapidly.
Is it “keto/paleo”?
Yes, it naturally suits low carb/keto and paleo styles of cooking. It is a single ingredient animal fat. No seed oils. No additives.
Where is it sourced and made?
Fat is sourced from a trusted butcher which processes beef from regional Victorian suppliers. The tallow is hand rendered in small batches in Melbourne's West.

If your jar arrives damaged, leaking or incorrect, email us within 7 days with a photo and order number we’ll replace or refund. We don’t accept change of mind returns on opened food products.

Our product is single ingredient beef fat. We don’t add dairy, nuts, or gluten.
Shelf life & storage?
Store in a cool, dark place and refrigerate after opening. Best used within 12 months of the batch date.
